Search for an "electric heater" in Pakistan and you will see prices from Rs 900 to more than Rs 70,000. The price depends mostly on what kind of heater it is — a glowing spot heater, a fan heater that warms the whole room, or an oil-filled radiator — and on the brand. This guide puts every common type side by side, with the electricity each one uses, so you know what a fair price looks like before you buy.

Prices are typical ranges seen online and in shops in Pakistan in October 2026. They rise in December and January when demand peaks — buying early is usually cheaper.
Why prices are so different
- Spot vs whole-room. Spot heaters (sun, halogen, rod) are simple and cheap. Fan heaters and radiators need motors, thermostats and more metal.
- Size and power. A 17-inch oscillating stand heater or a 13-fin radiator costs more than a 12-inch table heater or a 7-fin radiator.
- Features. Thermostats, timers, remotes, oscillation and digital displays add cost — and often save electricity.
- Brand and warranty. Sogo, Gree, Black+Decker, Seco and E-lite carry brand warranties; no-brand imports are cheaper.
What does it cost to run?
The wattage tells you the units per hour: a 600 W heater uses 0.6 units an hour, a 2,000 W heater 2 units. At an example rate of Rs 60 per unit, a 600 W sun heater costs about Rs 36 an hour on high, while a 2,000 W fan heater costs about Rs 120 an hour while heating. Thermostat heaters switch off once the room is warm, so they often cost less than the label suggests. More: how much electricity does a heater use?
Which heater gives the best value?
For most homes, the best value is two heaters: a low-watt spot heater for the lounge — such as the Feidiao sun heater or a stand heater with oscillation — and a fan heater with a thermostat, like the TRIMUX heater fan, to warm the bedroom before sleep. If someone in the family needs steady warmth all evening, a silent oil radiator is worth the higher price.
How to choose in 4 steps
- Spot or room: warm where you sit (sun / rod) or the whole room (fan / oil)?
- Room size: about 10 W per sq ft for whole-room heating.
- Wiring and backup: on UPS or solar, stay at 300–600 W.
- Budget: use the table above to see what is fair for that type.
Before you buy — quick safety points
- Plug heaters straight into a wall socket, never a cheap multi-plug.
- Look for a tip-over switch and overheat protection.
- Keep heaters 1 metre from curtains and bedding, and switch them off when you sleep.
- Buy where faulty units are replaced quickly — and pay on delivery.
