Fan, Blower & Ceramic Heaters
Fan heaters (also called blower heaters or heater fans) blow warm air around the room, so the whole room gets warm — not just the spot in front. With a thermostat, they switch off once the room reaches your temperature. From tiny 400 W plug-in heaters to the Sogo ceramic tower with remote.
Fan, Blower & Ceramic Heaters: how to choose the right one
In short
- A fan heater pulls in cold air, passes it over a hot element and blows it out warm — heating the whole closed room in 10–20 minutes.
- Ceramic (PTC) heaters are fan heaters with a ceramic element — they heat fast and run a little cooler on the surface.
- Most have cool / warm / hot modes and a thermostat that saves power once the room is warm.
- Compact 500–2,000 W models cost Rs 2,500–6,500; ceramic towers and wall-mounted heaters Rs 13,000–25,000.
- Plug them into a wall socket: a 2,000 W heater is too much for cheap extension boards.
When a fan heater is the right choice
Sun and rod heaters are wonderful when you sit right in front of them. But at night, in a closed bedroom, you want the whole room warm — under the quilt, at the cupboard, at the bathroom door. That is the job of a fan heater.
Because it moves air, a fan heater spreads warmth evenly and quickly. Set the thermostat and it will click off when the room reaches your temperature and back on when it cools, so it uses much less power than its label suggests.
Choose wattage by room size: 500 W models (like the Maxx MX-112/113) for small rooms and offices, 2,000 W for a normal closed bedroom, and a 2,200 W ceramic tower or a wall-mounted Seco for a big room or lounge.

Fan heater buying checklist
- Thermostat: the single biggest power-saver.
- Overheat protection & thermal fuse: must-haves on any fan heater.
- Tip-over switch: important if children or pets are around.
- Cool mode: turns it into a fan for summer.
- Timer & remote: helpful at bedtime.
- Socket: plan a proper wall socket for 2,000 W.
- Keep every heater at least 1 metre from curtains, bedding, sofas and clothes — never dry clothes on a heater.
- Plug heaters straight into a wall socket. Cheap multi-plugs and long extension boards can overheat and melt.
- Stand it on a flat, hard floor so the tip-over switch works; never on a bed, sofa or thick carpet.
- Switch it off when you sleep or leave the room, and keep children and pets away from hot grills.
- Not for bathrooms or wet areas.

01What is the price of a fan heater in Pakistan?
Compact fan heaters cost about Rs 2,500 to Rs 6,500. Ceramic tower heaters with remote cost about Rs 13,000 to Rs 20,000 and wall-mounted PTC heaters Rs 18,000 to Rs 25,000.
02What is the difference between a fan heater and a blower heater?
Nothing — "blower heater", "heater fan" and "fan heater" all mean a heater that blows warm air.
03What is a ceramic heater?
A fan heater with a ceramic (PTC) element instead of a wire coil. It heats quickly and its element does not glow red.
04Does a fan heater use a lot of electricity?
A 2,000 W fan heater uses 2 units an hour while heating. With the thermostat set, it switches off once the room is warm, so the real use is lower.
05Is it safe to sleep with a fan heater on?
We advise warming the room before bed and switching it off when you sleep. If you use a timer, keep it away from bedding and curtains.
06Can a fan heater run on UPS?
Small 250–500 W models may; 2,000 W heaters are too heavy for most UPS systems.
07Is cash on delivery available?
Yes. Free delivery over Rs 3,000.
