Oil-Filled Radiator Heaters
Oil-filled radiators give the most comfortable warmth of any electric heater: silent, even, with no glow, no fan and no smell. The sealed oil heats up and keeps radiating even after the thermostat switches off. Branded Black+Decker, Gree and Geepas models with 7 to 13 fins.
Oil-Filled Radiator Heaters: how to choose the right one
In short
- An oil radiator has electric elements inside sealed oil. The oil heats the metal fins, and the fins warm the room gently by convection.
- It is completely silent, has no glowing element and does not dry the air as much as a fan heater — ideal for bedrooms.
- It takes 20–40 minutes to warm a room, but it keeps radiating after switch-off.
- More fins = more heat surface: 7 fins for small rooms, 9–11 for normal bedrooms, 13 for large rooms.
- Branded radiators cost about Rs 25,000–70,000 in Pakistan. The oil is sealed for life — it never needs refilling.
Why oil radiators are the comfort choice
If you have ever slept in a room with a fan heater, you know the drawbacks: the hum, the dry air, the hot-cold cycle. An oil radiator is different. It warms the room slowly and evenly, makes no sound, and once warm, the oil holds its heat — so the room stays comfortable even when the thermostat switches the elements off.
That makes it the favourite for bedrooms, elderly parents and families with small children (no glowing rods, though the fins do get hot). It is also popular in offices and clinics where noise matters.
The trade-off is price and power: a radiator draws 2,000–2,500 W while heating and costs more upfront. In a closed room with the thermostat set, the real running cost is lower than the label suggests.

Oil radiator buying checklist
- Fins: match the room size (table above).
- Thermostat: essential — it is what saves power.
- Overheat & tip-over protection: look for both.
- Wheels and handle: radiators are heavy (10 kg+).
- Brand warranty: keep the card and invoice.
- Wall socket: a dedicated socket for 2,000–2,500 W.
- Stand it upright and wait 10 minutes after moving before switching on.
- Never cover it or dry clothes on the fins.
- Keep it 1 metre from curtains and bedding; keep small children from touching hot fins.
- Never open the oil chamber.

01What is the price of an oil heater in Pakistan?
Oil-filled radiators cost about Rs 25,000 to Rs 45,000 for 7–11 fin models and Rs 45,000 to Rs 70,000 for 13-fin and fan-forced models.
02Do oil heaters use a lot of electricity?
They draw 2,000–2,500 W while heating, but the hot oil keeps radiating after the thermostat cuts out, so in a closed room the real use is lower.
03Do I need to refill the oil?
No. The oil is sealed for life and never needs topping up.
04Is an oil heater safe for bedrooms?

05How many fins do I need?
7 for a small room, 9–11 for a normal bedroom, 13 for a large room or lounge.
06Is cash on delivery available?
Yes — even on oil radiators.
