Before you mount a heater
- Solid wall: brick or concrete; use proper wall plugs.
- Height: about 1.8–2 m, away from curtains and shelves.
- Socket: a wall socket nearby — no long extension cables.
- Electrician: any electrician can fix it in minutes.
- Plug-in heaters: only into firm wall sockets — never adapters.
Safety first
- Keep every heater at least 1 metre from curtains, bedding, sofas and clothes — never dry clothes on a heater.
- Plug heaters straight into a wall socket. Cheap multi-plugs and long extension boards can overheat and melt.
- Stand it on a flat, hard floor so the tip-over switch works; never on a bed, sofa or thick carpet.
- Switch it off when you sleep or leave the room, and keep children and pets away from hot grills.
- Not for bathrooms or wet areas.
