Why the cheapest room heaters sell the most
The 2-rod room heater and the foldable safety-switch heater sell in the tens of thousands every winter because they do one job well: warm one or two people sitting close, for very little money. One rod uses 0.4 units an hour.
When to spend more

Common problem: "my heater won't turn on"
Most rod heaters have a tip-over switch underneath. If the heater is on a soft carpet or held in the air, it will not start. Place it on a flat, hard floor and turn the knob again.
