How to use it
Unpack and stand it up
Fit the wheels, stand it upright and leave it for about 10 minutes so the oil settles.
Plug in
Use a good wall socket on its own — not a multi-plug.
Start on high
Switch on the highest setting and turn the thermostat to maximum.
Set the thermostat
Once the room is comfortable, turn the thermostat back until it clicks — it will now hold that warmth.
Close the room
Keep doors and windows mostly closed; the heat builds up and stays.

Use it safely: always stand the radiator upright on its wheels and wait a few minutes after moving it before switching on. Keep it about 1 metre from curtains and bedding, never cover it or dry clothes on it, and plug it straight into a good wall socket (it draws up to 2,000–2,500 W). The fins stay hot for a while after you switch off. Never open the oil chamber or tilt it while it is on.

QDo oil heaters use a lot of electricity?
An oil radiator draws 2,000–2,500 W when its elements are on, but the hot oil keeps radiating after the thermostat switches them off, so in a closed room the real use is often much lower than the label.
QDo I ever need to refill the oil?
No. The oil is sealed inside for life and never needs topping up. Never open the radiator.
QIs an oil heater safe for a baby's room?
Oil radiators have no glowing element and no fan, so many parents prefer them for bedrooms. Keep it away from the cot and curtains, make sure children cannot touch the hot fins, and never leave a baby alone with any heater on.
QDoes it make noise?
